With a probing lead, he unearths a hook, looping and variating it over Cotter’s rolling toms. By 16 minutes, with the sections fully baked, Cotter propels the jam with increased tempo and intricacy. Rick rides the momentum into a sprawling, “So Ready”-styled jam before dropping into “Tumble’s” composed ending.
